Minerva Historical Society Beginnings |
The mission of the Minerva Historical Society is to preserve, protect, and promote the history of the Town of Minerva
Charles LaBar, Helen Shevlin, Mary Maguire Shirley McNally, Mildred Lynch, Mabel Jones, Clarence Jones.

The first meeting of the Minerva Historical Society was held on March 22, 1955 in the home of Mabel and Clarence Jones.
Mabel had been appointed the Minerva Town Historian the previous year. She would continue in that role until she passed in 1986. Mabel dedicated 32 years of her life to preserving the history of the Minerva Community. Part of that service was becoming a founding member and driving force of the newly formed Historical Society,
