WHO WE ARE

Local Societies Collaborate
MHS Vision Board Workshop
President's Column April 2025 Quarterly Edition
Dear Members & Alumni
2025 is a big year for the Society and for Minerva Day which will be
celebrated on July 5 this year.  We will be celebrating Minerva Schools: A Century of Memories – 1925 – 2025.  The Museum will be using this as their central theme for the season.
The Historical Society will be turning 70 this year and the Minerva
Volunteer Fire Department will be turning 75.
Planning is already in the works for the Minerva Day events that we hold so close to our hearts like the parade and fireworks.
The Alumni Brunch will be held on Sunday, July 6 at the Minerva Lake
Pavilion.  The Society and the Alumni Committee are working together to have something special for brunch attendees.
The Museum is looking for school memorabilia from OHS or MHS Alumni, or their relatives, for the museum exhibits.  If you have class photos, senior trip photos, news & sports stories, uniforms/jackets, Block M’s tassels, class rings, old report cards, graduation programs or, items from plays & musicals that you are willing to loan, please contact Cindy Perkins  at [email protected]
Another project that we are working on is collecting videos of favorite school memories.  Recordings can be made at home and emailed to [email protected] or direct messaged to her through Facebook Messenger.  It will be possible to upload videos to our Google Drive.  Instructions will be posted on our Website and Facebook pages.  A video tutorial will be provided as well.  Please include your name and graduation year. If you would like to have someone come and record your memory please let Cindy or Sharon know.  We are looking into
possibly setting up some days where you can come to us to be recorded as well.
We hope this will be an amazing week-end, with the biggest showing of Alumni gathering ever.
Please share your memories and mementos
Nancy Shaw, MHS President.
